Currently runs a law practice based in Fall River Mills (about 1.5 hours north of Redding)
Manages 10 employees, including his wife, daughter, and brother-in-law (all lawyers in his practice), and a support staff

An avid athlete, Jim has played football, ran track and field, and now enjoys bicycling
Jim was a wide receiver for Cal Berkeley, and now enjoys watching college and pro football
Jim has held his private pilot’s license for 15 years, currently flying a Cessna 172
The Reed family runs an informal animal rescue at their ranch in Fall River Mills, currently caring for rescued llamas, goats, and cats
